Azerbaijani President to pay an official visit to Ukraine

The visit will take place at the invitation of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych. Issues on deepening of bilateral political dialogue at the highest level, expansion of mutual cooperation in priority spheres, implementation of joint projects in energy, infrastructure, and military-technical sphere will be discussed during the meeting between the presidents of the two countries.

Goncharuk said the 4th meeting of Ukrainian and Azerbaijani Presidents Council will also be held as a part of the visit. The event aims at making the bilateral strategic relations pragmatic. The final protocol will be signed on the outcomes of the meeting.

Agreements on mutual cooperation in foreign policy, agriculture, cultural and humanitarian spheres will also be signed during the visit.

According to the program of the visit, Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev will also meet with Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov and chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Rybak.
