Baku – APA. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received credentials of new ambassador of Guinea Mohamed Keita, APA reports quoting AzerTAc.
Mr Mohamed Keita passed along a ceremonial guard of honor.
The Azerbaijani President had a conversation with the ambassador.
The Head of State said there was mutual interest and big potential for development of economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Republic of Guinea, however, expressing regret that this cooperation falls behind the necessary level.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed confidence that Mohamed Keita’s tenure would see the two countries establish business relations and study opportunities to define a new cooperation format.
The Guinean diplomat congratulated the Head of State on his re-election as President of Azerbaijan.
He said Guinea was interested in strengthening economic cooperation with Azerbaijan. Mr Mohamed Keita noted there were ample opportunities for development of the Azerbaijan-Guinea cooperation, adding he will spare no efforts on this front.
