Baku. Shamil Alibeyli – APA. “Currently, Libya is in the first stage of the revolution, which occurred in 2011. I’m sure that a few years later, our country will be on a par with developed countries. We want peace for the people of Libya and the world,” Libyan Chargé d'affaires in Azerbaijan Abdalrzak Shakahi told APA.
Referring to the prospects for the development of relations with Azerbaijan, the diplomat said that Libya is open to the world: “We invite Azerbaijan to invest in Libya. We are cooperating with Azerbaijan. At present, Azerbaijani companies are engaged in construction in Benghazi and Zawya cities.”
As for the cooperation in oil sector, Shakahi said that there is an Azerbaijani company intending to invest in oil-gas sector of Libya: “I believe that in the short run, we will cooperate in this area.”
