Muradov said that in this regard, representatives of the embassies of GUAM member states in Latvia held a meeting on February 19. Moreover, at the Latvian Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Elman Zeynalov expressed his concern over the mistakes made in the textbook and handed a note.
The advisor also added that the investigation carried out in this regard found out that this textbook is not used at secondary schools. The Education Ministry of Latvia has also confirmed this fact. The Latvian Foreign Ministry has stated once again that the mistakes made in the geographical map don’t reflect the official position of Latvia and that Riga supports the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
In textbook titled “The geography of the new world”, the so-called “Nagorno Karabakh Republic” is presented as a part of Azerbaijan and the flag of the separatist regime is attached.
