"A major event that opened a new chapter in the history of the Turkic peoples and embodied the rise and spiritual unity of the Turkic world took place. Therefore, the centenary of this gathering can be regarded as an irreplaceable event in terms of strengthening the stability, cultural policy, and integration of the Turkic world," President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov said in hiss address to the participants of Turkic World Week, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress, APA reports.

The Kyrgyz leader said that despite the complex political and geopolitical environment, important issues related to Turkic languages, terminology, orthography, and future integration were discussed in detail at this historic gathering: "I would especially like to emphasize that this remarkable forum is not merely a meeting of scholars. It is a historic turning point toward mutual integration, unity, and brotherhood for the Turkic world, whose peoples were separated from one another for centuries under the influence of political and geographical factors. Prominent representatives of the Kyrgyz people, distinguished figures of Kyrgyz statehood and national science, as well as scholars from Kazakhstan and Bashkortostan, are participating in the gathering. Their fundamental research on orthography and terminology is part of the golden fund not only of Kyrgyz linguistics but of Turkology as a whole.

Their work on developing the grammar of Turkic languages, harmonizing alphabets, and shaping a common Turkic culture is of particular importance. The decisions adopted at the Congress, especially the work carried out to modernize the writing system and develop common terminology, have made a significant contribution to raising the level of solidarity among our peoples and their integration in line with a policy based on unity. The work carried out by scholars over many years is now reflected in the activities of modern Turkic organizations. The establishment of international institutions such as the Organization of Turkic States, TURKSOY, and the Turkic Academy has elevated our political, economic, and cultural cooperation to a qualitatively new level."

Sadyr Japarov noted that the Great Turkic Road is not only a historical concept but also an important factor that defines the direction of today's development and the distinctive course of future strategic partnership: "In an era of globalization and rapid geopolitical changes, it is essential to further develop cultural and humanitarian ties. An in-depth study of the common history, rich cultural heritage, literature, and linguistic ties of the Turkic peoples, as well as the broad promotion of our languages in the digital environment, are among the most important tasks of modern Turkology.

In the context of digitalization, the development of artificial intelligence, and globalization, we must strengthen the position of Turkic languages in the scientific and technological fields and develop them in full accordance with modern scientific terminology. Dear brothers and sisters, I am confident that the celebration of this anniversary will further strengthen friendship among the Turkic peoples and make a significant contribution to the development of brotherly relations, knowledge exchange, unity, and cooperation. May the spirit of this Congress and the great ideas it put forward lead us to new achievements. May the unity of the Turkic world grow even stronger, and may the brotherhood and friendship of our peoples last forever."
