UK Prime Minister sends letter to Azerbaijan’s President

Baku – APA. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received member of the UK Parliament Nick de Bois on December 17. APA reports that Nick de Bois conveyed the greetings and letter of UK Prime Minister David Cameron to the Head of State. The letter underlined the high-level of bilateral relations between the UK and Azerbaijan and reflected the issues on extension of the cooperation in the non-oil sector, business and trade.

Nick de Bois said that David Cameron sees Azerbaijan as an important partner country for the UK. He conveyed the Prime Minister’s congratulations to the Head of State on the first European Games that will be held in Azerbaijan in 2015 and expressed his confidence that the first European Games would be held successfully in Azerbaijan.

In his turn, noting the existence of long-term historical relations between Azerbaijan and the UK, President Ilham Aliyev underlined the successful development of the relations in all spheres. The Head of State expressed his confidence on further enhancement of the relations in various directions, including in the spheres of policy, economy, energy, security and etc.
