Samad Seyidov: "Christoph StrÃ¤sser does not mean the Council of Europe"

He said the Azerbaijani side has never been afraid of criticism: “We are listening attentively to the criticism, if it is a constructive criticism and reflects the realities we are ready to admit it. We are against of the pressure exerted on Azerbaijan at the international organization using the aforementioned criticism. We are ready to give a neat answer to the pressure. I would like to note the report submitted by the PACE rapporteur on political prisoners Christoph Strässer . I estimate the report as an attempt and document covering slanders and lies, not reflecting the realities, not serving the integration of Azerbaijan into the Council of Europe. Christoph Strässer does not mean the Council of Europe. They try to present Christoph Strässer’s position as the position of the international organization. It is not so. The relations between Azerbaijan and the PACE should not be analyzed in the example of one person. The relations are developing normally and in a constructive way,” he said.
