Paris. Fuad Gulubeyli – APA. “The discussions on the commitments undertaken by Azerbaijan have been held today and the report made by the co-rapporteurs has been adopted at the PACE Monitoring Committee,” head of the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE Samad Seyidov told APA’s correspondent in Paris.
He said that all principal appendixes and amendments have been made to the report due to the persistence of the Azerbaijani side and accepted during the discussions: “Of course, this report will be discussed in January. It is just the confirmation on the level of the committee. But in any case, I must say that at the meeting of the Monitoring Committee, we have witnessed a constructive approach and prevention of biased intervention in the report. Many people supported the position of Azerbaijan and it shows that lies can not live long. Such attempts have always failed and I am sure that it will always be so.
Of course, we will continue our activities on human rights and other issues in the future. Today, however, the Monitoring Committee has once again shown that the special appendixes and amendments made by Elkhan Suleymanov have been adopted unanimously. The appendixes on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict have particular importance among them and they were also adopted.”
