Baku. Mubariz Aslanov-APA. "Azerbaijan held discussions on Gabala radar station and solved the issue completely within the law," Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Araz Azimov told journalists, APA reports.
He said that the term of the lease agreement signed with Russia on Gabala radar station expired and no agreement was reached on the terms of a new contract.
“Therefore, a decision was passed to close the station in Gabala. The relevant commissions should start solving technical issues such as the removal of the Russian equipment. The commissions will likely start functioning next year,” he said.
