Presidential Administration official: â€œCertain minorities in Azerbaijani society have become a tool in the hands of some external forcesâ€

It includes NGOs, political parties and mass media,” said deputy head of Azerbaijan’s Presidential Administration, chairman of foreign relations department Novruz Mammadov said in his interview to the website of New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), APA reports.

According to him, the people of Azerbaijan should deeply analyze the processes in the Islamic world and see realities: “We must assess these processes while observing. Look at the situation in Egypt, the cultural center of the world and the country with the history of thousands of years. Nobody knows after how many years Egypt can return to the situation that was before these processes. Unfortunately, these processes didn’t happen only in Egypt. There are many countries where similar processes happened. We should be wise to see them and assess properly. Fortunately, 80-90 percent of the Azerbaijani people support President Ilham Aliyev’s path. “Unfortunately, like in any society, there are certain minorities in our society that have become a tool in the hands of some external forces. This is in their blood. They claim that they are serving great goals, but in reality we all know who they are. Such things can never create problems for Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijani people can distinguish between the good and the bad.”
