Paris. Fuad Gulubeyli – APA. The reports of co-rapporteurs Pedro Agramunt and Joseph Debono Grekh on the outcomes of their recent visit to Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani side's speeches have been heard, the draft resolution on the commitments undertaken by Azerbaijan discussed and the final version of the document confirmed at the meeting of the PACE Monitoring Committee in Paris today, APA reports.

The Azerbaijani side has been represented by head of the delegation Samad Seyidov and member of the delegation Elkhan Suleymanov.

The report contains clauses on the geopolitical, social and economic situation of Azerbaijan, the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, the Council of Europe’s Conventions signed and ratified by Azerbaijan in the recent times and the relations of Azerbaijan with the European Union.

The report also widely covers the pluralist democracy, legal state, human rights and fundamental freedoms in the country. The third item of the document touches on the geopolitical situation of Azerbaijan and especially Nagorno Karabakh conflict. The item only notes the existence of Nagorno Karabakh conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Addressing the discussions on Azerbaijan-related report, member of the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE, MP Elkhan Suleymanov proposed the following appendix to the end of the third item on Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

"The Assembly regrets that no results have been produced in these negotiations up to now, the relevant resolutions of the UN, PACE, European Parliament and OSCE condemning the military occupation have not been fulfilled yet, the rights of about one million Azerbaijanis have been violated for 20 years."

The appendix was adopted after long discussions due to the persistence of the Azerbaijani side.
