APA reports that chairman of the Conference Wolfgang Ischinger and German Defense Minister Thomas de Maizière delivered keynote speeches.
Eurozone crisis, geopolitical issues in energy context, Euro-Atlantic security, cyber security, Iran’s issue and the crisis in Mali and Syria will be discussed at the event till February 3.
The conference is attended by several heads of state, foreign and defense ministers of more than 50 countries, leaders of major corporations, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton, NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, US Vice-President Joe Biden, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. Azerbaijan is represented by Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov. He is expected to make a speech at the plenary meeting “Stability and Security in South-Eastern Europe and the Caucasus” on the second day of the conference.
