Jordanian ambassador: â€œWe are holding negotiations on the import of oil and gas from Azerbaijanâ€

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov, Shamil Alibeyli – APA. “There are good relations between Azerbaijan and Jordan, especially on political issues” Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Azerbaijan Adel Mohammad Adaileh told APA.

He noted that the countries are cooperating bilaterally and within international organizations, but economic relationship is not at the desirable level.

“We are trying to develop the relations in the economic sphere now”, he added.

Adel Mohammad Adaileh said that his country is conducting negotiations on the import of oil and gas from Azerbaijan: “Natural resources of Jordan are limited. Especially we have problems in the sphere of oil and gas and we are ready to buy them from anywhere. We have contacted with Azerbaijan on this issue. No contact has been signed yet. We think that the negotiations will give positive results.”
