The president mentioned that he regularly meets with the heads of the two countries’ delegation to PACE: “As regards the trilateral meeting I held with the heads of the Azerbaijani and Armenia delegations, these are unofficial meetings and not held within the framework of the Sub-Committee. Although this committee was supported by the former president, I don’t support it, because OSCE Minsk Group is dealing with the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and I trust their in their activities. But I decided to contribute to this work in a new format. The difference is that we hold unofficial meetings. We decided not to inform media about our meetings’ content, because no serious agreement has been reached, we are continuing our talks. Such trilateral meetings are held not only in Strasbourg, but also during the meetings of our committees in Paris and other cities. We last met during the session of our Committee on Political Affairs in Turin, Italy. During this session, we will find time to hold a meeting with the two delegations in the same format. I hope that we will reach an agreement before the Armenian presidency in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Council of Europe in May and be able to make a formal statement about these achievements.”
