Baku. Ramil Mammadli – APA. “Any word, poet or even tar, which caused dispute between the two countries, are neither yours nor ours, because our people are very close and all our values based on the historical roots are common,” said advisor of the Iranian President, chairman of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization Mohammad-Baqer Khorramshad at the press conference, APA reports.
He said that there are few peoples in the world that are tied so much in terms of history, ethnicity and religion: “Iran presented many musical instruments, including tar to UNESCO. According to our historical roots, Iran has not objected to the inclusion of the Azerbaijani tar performing into the UNESCO. But I think this is not a matter of dispute. Iranian tar was also recognized by UNESCO as the example of cultural heritage in 2009. The government of Iran did not object to the recognition of the art of Azerbaijani tar performing. Our intellectuals should do their best so that our relations, particularly cultural relations are improved,” he said.
