GUAM Secretary General comments on official recognition of Armenia as invader - <span style="color: red;">EXCLUSIVE

Chechelashvili told APA that a concrete document on the recognition of Armenia as an invader has not been included in the agenda of the organization: “If the GUAM member states submit document on this issues, then the foreign ministers of the member states can make a relevant decision on it. Every organization has its own goals, methods and opportunities for the solution of certain problems. We expressed our views on ensuring the territorial integrity of the member states at the 5th meeting of GUAM Parliamentary Assembly in Baku.”

The Secretary General said that the GUAM member states have own format of the existing conflicts and external official or non-official interventions can prevent the negotiations instead of supporting them: “The GUAM member states are the members of several international organizations including the UN. The territorial integrity is inviolable, if a country’s territorial integrity principle adopted by international organizations is violated by the armed forces of another country, it is an occupation and this country is an invader.”
