There are few Azerbaijanis,” former interior minister of Pakistan, Senator Shahzad Waseem Khan told APA.

According to the Senator, the fight against terrorism in North Waziristan is an important issue lying ahead for Pakistan: “The terrorist groups and radical religious movements using Afghanistan and this area of Pakistan are violating the stability of the country. I know that Azerbaijan also suffers from Armenian terrorism. A part of its territories is under occupation. Azerbaijan and Pakistan must unite efforts against terrorism, especially international terrorism.”

Waseem Khan said that the youth fighting against the Pakistani Army in North Waziristan came under the influence of radical religious movements: “We know that a number of countries are interested in violating stability in Pakistan. We are also aware how those fighters went to North Waziristan. These forces must understand that no one can weaken the power of Pakistan.”
