Dublin. Victoria Dementeva – APA. “The Nagorno Karabakh conflict is still serious threat for international security. Armenia reinforces status-quo by violating the OSCE regulation and uses force to maintain control over the occupied territories of Azerbaijan”, said Azerbaijani Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov at the 19th meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council, APA’s correspondent reports from Dublin.
The Minister also touched on the security and solution of the current conflicts in OSCE area. Elmar Mammadyarov said that no intact monuments on Azerbaijani culture remained in the territories occupied by Armenia.
Elmar Mammadyarov also expressed his concern over the attempts to start flights at Khojaly airport and said that the opening of this airport would more escalate the tension in the region.
Elmar Mammadyarov said that there was no alternative of the peaceful settlement of this conflict and Azerbaijan was interested in continuing peace talks: “We propose the OSCE Minks Group to stir up its activity, support the co-chair and start work on comprehensive peace agreement.”
Mammadyarov also welcomed the Ukraine’s presidency over OSCE in 2013.
