Challenges to Security in the Caspian Region to be discussed in Baku

Baku. Victoria Dementeva – APA. Next biannual NISA Session will take place on 3-9 February, 2013. The topic of the NISA Winter Session will be “Challenges to Security in the Caspian Region”, APA reports.

The session will host twenty participants from Azerbaijan and twenty from abroad to discuss all the potential sources of contention in the Caspian region. The guest speakers during the event will be prominent scholars, diplomats, politicians and practitioners involved in the processes ongoing in this region.

The issues related to energy security, Caspian delimitation, military conflicts in the Caucasus, nuclear non-proliferation initiative and its implications for the Caspian neighborhood will be discussed.
