Azerbaijani President receives governor of Astrakhan

Baku – APA. President of Azerbaijan received the delegation led by governor of Russia's Astrakhan region Alexander Jilkin on December 19.

The head of state noted successful development of relations between Azerbaijan and Astrakhan region of Russian Federation, and stressed the importance of these relations in terms of further enhancement of existing bilateral ties between the two countries. The president underlined considerable expansion of cooperation relations between Azerbaijan and Astrakhan region in recent years.

In his turn Jilkin expressed his satisfaction with the increase of trade turnover, dynamic development of economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Astrakhan. Expressing his gratitude for the humanitarian projects implemented in Astrakhan, the governor underlined the significance of implementation of ecological project on the initiative of Vice President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva.
