Azerbaijani MFA: Mexico must respect the decisions of the relevant structures, including city authorities and parliament

It seems that Armenian diaspora uses all its resources and relations to prevent conveying the truths of Azerbaijan to the world,” said Spokesman for the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs Elman Abdullayev, APA reports.

Abdullayev noted that the Mexican side must respect the decisions of the relevant structures, including city authorities and parliament.

Asked how could the replacement of the monuments impact the bilateral relations,

including the economic relations between the two countries, Abdullayev said that Azerbaijan was a powerful and developing country in the region and many countries were interested in this country: “Azerbaijan is interested in involving foreign investors in the country and investing abroad. We consider that it is necessary to protect such partnership relations.”

Three-member Advisory Committee established by the Mexico city authorities on Heydar Aliyev’s monument and the Khojaly memorial made a recommendation on the removal of Heydar Aliyev’s monument.
