Azerbaijani FM meets with Bulgarian, Swedish foreign ministers and head of Polish Presidential Administration   - <span style="color: red;">PHOTO

Baku – APA. Azerbaijani Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov has met with foreign ministers of Bulgaria and Sweden, Nikolay Mladenov and Carl Bildt and head of the Polish Presidential Administration Jacek Mikhailovsky, who are on a visit to Baku, APA reports. Elmar Mammadyarov told journalists that the visit in this format has taken place for the first time. The minister noted that the relations between the South Caucasus countries and Europe Union were discussed at the meeting. The Azerbaijani side informed the guests about the regional issues and settlement process of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

Carl Bildt said that they intended to hold discussions with regional countries on the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh on the eve of the Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius. He underlined that they were interested in continuing the dialogue with Azerbaijan.

Mladenov said the relations should be built not only on energy cooperation: “The energy sector is certainly important, but we also want to develop cooperation in other spheres.”

Mikhailovsky noted that Azerbaijan and the EU have positive relations and the parties intend to develop these relations.
