Baku. Victoria Dementeva – APA. Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry regards the recent statement of the European Union (EU) on human rights in Azerbaijan as interference in the investigation, said spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Elman Abdullayev while commenting on the recent statement of the EU delegation to OSCE, APA reports.
“It is unacceptable and causes surprise. No one can be given instructions how to carry out the investigation, because the investigation process is independent in Azerbaijan like in the whole world. What causes surprise is that those, who are constantly in favor of independent trials, are now trying to exert pressure on the investigation process in Azerbaijan. Such statements overshadow the EU objectivity.”
