Baku – APA. Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has met with President of the Republic of Maldives Mohammed Hassan as a part of the 12th summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Cairo.
The Ministry’s press service told APA that the sides discussed opportunities for cooperation in the spheres of economy and tourism and expansion of cooperation within the international organizations. President of the Maldives Mohammed Hassan said his country is interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan. In his turn, Mammadyarov noted Azerbaijan is ready to expand bilateral relations.
On the same day, Foreign Minister Mammadyarov also met with head of the Algerian delegation Belkacem Sahli. They discussed opportunities for expanding relations in several spheres including energy, tourism and economy. The sides also underlined the importance of strengthening cooperation within the international organizations, mutual visits and contacts of business circles for the development of bilateral relations.
