Azerbaijanâ€™s Deputy Foreign Minister calls on UN Human Rights Council to establish special commission on Khojaly genocide

The Foreign Ministry’s press service told APA that Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov made a speech in the first day of the High Level Segment. In his speech, he gave detailed information to the participants about Armenia’s aggression against Azerbaijan, the fact of occupation and its severe consequences. Noting that in these days, the Azerbaijani people commemorate the 21st anniversary of Khojaly genocide with the deepest sadness and sorrow, Khalafov spoke about the essence of Khojaly genocide, the recognition by the parliaments of several countries of the massacre committed against the Azerbaijani people and underlined that international recognition of the genocide will serve the justice. The Deputy Minister called on the Human Rights Council to establish a Special Commission for considering the fact of Khojaly genocide and its assessment.
