Baku. Kamala Guliyeva – APA. The Caucasus’ map drawn in the 18th century has been brought to Ganja from the Library of Alexandria in Egypt.

Press service of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences told APA that this valuable historical document presented by director of the Library of Alexandria Ismail Serageldin to Ganja has been prepared by the British intelligence service in 1705, 1780 and 1795.

First the map was kept in London, then it was given to the Library of Alexandria in Egypt. The peculiarity of the map is that it does not contain any area or land related to Armenians. The map drawn in different years and consisting of the three parts shows Nagorno Karabakh as the territory of Azerbaijan. The territories, where Armenians live now, were shown as a province of Azerbaijan. Karabakh is written on this map, Etchmiadzin listed as “Uchmazin” and Lake Sevan as “Karabakh”, this rejects all the claims of Armenians.
