Baku. Malahat Najafova – APA. “It will be determined in the coming days which of the equipments in Gabala radar station belong to Russia and which to Azerbaijan. However, the withdrawal of the equipment from Azerbaijan will probably take a few months,” Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorokhin told journalists, APA reports.
He said the first meeting of the intergovernmental joint commission for the suspension of the Gabala radar station’s operation was held on February 5. “The negotiations are uninterruptedly going on in Gabala. The station belongs to Azerbaijan and we should return it to the country as we leased it in 2002. We have brought here some equipment, automobiles and medical sanitary supplies since 2002. We have the right to take them back. The work is going on normally in this regard. We talked with Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Yagub Eyyubov on this matter. Soon we will exactly know what we will take back,” he said.
