Ambassador said Islamabad has always supported Azerbaijan and will continue supporting Azerbaijan’s position on Nagorno Karabakh conflict: “Armenia must withdraw from the occupied territories. The main reason why Pakistan does not recognize Armenia as a state is the occupation of the Azerbaijani territories by Armenians,” he said.
Speaking about the development prospects of the relations between the two countries, ambassador stated that there are influential religious institutions in Pakistan: “One of the greatest is in Islamabad and Azerbaijani students can get religious education there. Azerbaijan and Pakistan are cooperating on health, engineering, transport, banking and military industry. Along with China, Pakistan produces JF-17 “Thunder” fighter jets, as well as light and heavy military equipments. We can provide Azerbaijan with whatever it needs”.
