Deputy executive secretary of New Azerbaijan Party Mubariz Gurbanli said that Turkish President Abdullah Gul’s congratulation of Serzh Sargsyan on the rigged presidential elections in Armenia is unacceptable: “We didn’t except this. Therefore we express such an attitude.”

MP Fazil Mustafa said that though the Turkish President’s hasty congratulation causes concern, it is not right to turn it into a campaign.

Speaker Ogtay Asadov also touched on the Turkish President’s congratulatory letter: “This hurt us. But it should not be exaggerated. International organizations are keeping silence over the presidential elections in Armenia. Armenia’s population is less than 2 million, but 2,500,000 people have been registered. The presidential candidate was shot at before the elections. Such a high assessment of international organizations on these elections 7 days after the elections can not go unnoticed.

Gudrat Hasanguliyev said that Turkey also supports Armenia: “The aircrafts are flying from Turkey to Armenia, it has trade relations with Armenia. We will raise the issue on Turkey and Iran at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

Serzh Sargsyan says that he is one of perpetrators of Khojaly genocide and participated in the occupation of Shusha as a field commander. Why should the Turkish President congratulate Serzh Sargsyan as the Russian President did?

Ogtay Asadov underlined that he didn’t agree with Gudrat Hasanguliyev: “Turkey is a main partner and ally of Azerbaijan. Such words are unacceptable.”
