A commemoration ceremony of the 20th January held in Kyiv - <span style="color: red;">PHOTOSESSION

Baku-APA. A ceremony of commemoration of the 20th January was held in Kyiv, Ukraine with the organizational support of the Congress of Azerbaijanis. The event was attended by representatives of diaspora organizations of different nations and media, the Congress of Ukrainian Azerbaijanis told APA. Speaking at the event, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Ukraine Eynulla Madatli told participants of the ceremony about the heroic courage of the sons and daughters of Azerbaijan, who sacrificed with their lives for the independence of Azerbaijan 23 years ago.

A documentary film was demonstrated about the historical crimes committed by the Soviet army in Azerbaijan, on the night of January 20.

Speaking at the event, President of the Jewish Forum of Ukraine Arkady Monastrski and heads of other civil society organizations have called a historical injustice that in past 23 years the 20 January tragedy culprits were not been brought to justice. Speakers noted that the memory of the heroic sons and daughters of the people who lost their lives in the name of the state independence of Azerbaijan, will never be forgotten and will be an example to future generations.
