But surely it is time, both side must set priorities, and discuss apparently the future strategy of the development of bilateral relations at the highest level. Once again, Gabala RS - is just one of the issues on the agenda," said Russian political analyst Alexei Vlasov, commenting on suspension of Gabala Radar station’s exploitation and the future impact of this fact on bilateral relations, APA reports.

Political analyst also said that the Gabala RS was a symbol of cooperation between the two countries in the military-technical sphere. "So, of course, there are certain including image losses for both sides. But whose fault is this and why to give directly apocalyptic predictions, claiming that Moscow and Baku expect systemic cooling in bilateral relations? So far, we know only one thing - the negotiators failed to reach the required level of consent, but the process of discussing this issue is still on the agenda. Moreover, it can not be taken out of the broader context of Russian-Azerbaijani dialogue. So my prediction is – when Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev meets, the final version will be announced on the future of the Gabala RS both for the Russian and Azerbaijani sides. But this issue will not be isolated from all other topics. It will be firmly inscribed in the general context of the strategic partnership between Russia and Azerbaijan.
