Seven teenage pedestrians and a female driver in her 40s have been injured after a car mounted a footpath outside a row of shops in south Dublin, RTE reports.
Gardaí said the teenagers and the woman had been taken to different hospitals for treatment.
Gardaí and other emergency services were called to the scene on the Oliver Plunkett Road, near the junction with Kill Avenue, in Monkstown Farm, Dún Laoghaire.
There have been reports the driver suffered a medical episode and lost control of the car, which then mounted the pavement.
Four ambulances, several fire brigade units and garda cars attended the scene.
Oliver Plunkett Road remains closed as emergency services work at the scene.
