President of the European Council, António Costa, arrived in the Republic of Azerbaijan on an official visit on March 11, APA reports.
A guard of honor was lined up for the guest at Heydar Aliyev International Airport, where the flags of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the European Union were flying.
President of the European Council Antonio Costa was welcomed by Deputy Prime Minister Samir Sharifov, Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev, and other officials.

The President of the European Council, António Costa, has visited Azerbaijan, APA reports.
"In Baku today, looking forward to meeting Ilham Aliyev. Azerbaijan is a key partner for the EU. Over the past year, we have re-energised our relationship. We are committed to further deepening our relationship on security, energy, digital and transport. We will also discuss latest developments in view of the rapidly evolving geopolitical situation," he said on his X account.
