Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova met with a delegation led by Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate of the People’s Republic of China Ying Yong, who is visiting Azerbaijan, the Milli Majlis Department for Press and Public Relations told APA.
The Speaker of the Milli Majlis expressed confidence that the visit would contribute to the development of friendly and strategic partnership relations between Azerbaijan and China, as well as ties between the prosecution authorities of the two countries.
Thanking her for the meeting, Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate of the People’s Republic of China Ying Yong noted that prior to his visit to Azerbaijan, he had met and held discussions with Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China, and conveyed his greetings to the Speaker of the Milli Majlis at Zhao Leji’s request.
During the conversation, the sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
While at the administrative building of the Milli Majlis, the guests also visited the parliament’s plenary session hall and familiarized themselves with the working conditions provided there.
