Norwegian ambassador gives dinner party for Azerbaijani journalists

Norwegian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Yon Ramberg gave business-like dinner party to several journalists and the heads of journalist organization today, APA reports.
The dinner party was related to debate of the media satiation in Azerbaijan and councilor of the embassy Gorel Yogansenâ€™s leaving Baku on new appointment. Yon Ramberg expressed pleasure with the embassyâ€™s having been awarded prize after Hesen bey Zerdabi in the nomination â€œEmbassy open for mediaâ€ and said that cooperation with the media in future will be the priority of the embassy. He underlined that free and independent journalism is one of the important attributes of democratic society.
Ms.Yogansen who will leave Baku next week stated that she loves Azerbaijan very much and she had several meetings with journalists during her activity here.
The diplomat woman will carry on in Norwegian embassy in the United Kingdom and said that she hopes she will come to Azerbaijan to observe the presidential elections scheduled for October, 2008. /APA/
