Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. In 2010, 199 Armenian families (616 people) settled down in the territory of Azerbaijan’s Lachin region occupied by the Armenian armed forces. 50 Armenian families more settled down in Lachin this year, APA reports quoting Regnum news agency. They are planning to settle 300 families in Lachin until the end of this year.
The settlers and those, who intend to settle down in the territory, receive soft credits and are provided with the construction materials and transport means, Regnum said.
Lebanon-based “Artsakh†fund allocated $2700 for each of the Armenian families settled down in Lachin region to establish farms there. About 9 000 Armenians, settled down after the occupation, are reportedly living now in Lachin region.
