Vice-speaker of Azerbaijani parliament: â€œTry as Sargsyan would, he can not evade responsibility for the murder of a childâ€

APA reports quoting news.am that Presidentâ€™s statement says:
â€œI have been sincerely upset by your appeal to me and my spouse made at the session of the Milli Mejlis. I have been upset for two reasons. First, I think that you were really sincere and convinced in what you said. Second, the newly invented legends about my people grow into beliefs day by day in your country, which would be very difficult to dispel by facts and healthy debate only, to reassure even the most distinguished Madam in the opposite and expose the true reality.â€

Noting that he responds to Bahar Muradovaâ€™s statement as an Armenian, Serzh Sargsyan said:
â€œShould you engage in a frank conversation with the Azeris that know our people well they at their most sincere would definitely tell you who an Armenian is in reality.â€

â€œYes, we face a problem and we need to deal with that problem together. Indeed, together. We must solve it and not burden with it our children. But to do that first and foremost we should be able to transform the social atmosphere leading to destruction, we should reject mechanisms nourishing it, we should be able to remake the environment that gives birth to violence bringing about irretrievable losses of young men, an environment where a childâ€™s life may undergo speculations with suspicious stories serving the mere primitive goal of stigmatizing the whole nation.

We must be able to respond to their mothers, and do that together. The only thing their mothers expect from us is the return of their children.

I hope that after an impartial investigation of the child murder case that you referred to you should be able to make another statement no matter how difficult it is.â€

Vice-speaker Bahar Muradova told APA that in his statement, the Armenian president tried to present his people from good side: â€œTo be a killer of a child IS a very grave charge. Nobody would like to take this name upon himself â€“ neither individuals, nor states, nor nations. But the history shows that this case is not the first in the life of Armenians. Try as they would, it will not be possible to evade responsibility from it.â€

According to Muradova, there is a time and opportunities in order to prevent these cases in the future. The Vice-speaker reminded itâ€™s ways to the Armenian president and noted that the constructive position must be taken in the negotiations: â€œIf the opposite side take such step and the Armenian president can turn its army, people, community to this direction, no such charges will be sounded about the Armenian people, he, as a president will not got to such a bad state.â€

Muradova thinks that, Sargsyan has a chance to prove that he doesnâ€™t want to bear this shame. Vice-speaker also added that Sargsyanâ€™s response shows that Armenia perceives its critic situation and itâ€™s seeking the ways out: â€œThe ways out are clear. To be loyal to the statements signed with the Azerbaijani president, to fulfill the resolutions of the UN, to take a constructive position in the mediation mission submitted by the OSCE co-chair countriesâ€¦ Only this way one can fulfill obligations before the mothers who lost their sons.
Both Azerbaijani and Armenian mothers lost their sons till this day. I am sharing his opinion on prevention of it. From now it is impossible to allow itâ€.
