Ilham Aliyev: â€œNegotiations on Azerbaijani companiesâ€™ participation in Trans Adriatic Pipeline project are underwayâ€

Baku â€“ APA. â€œThere is very useful and important political dialogue between Azerbaijan and Switzerlandâ€, APA reports quoting â€œAzerTacâ€ news agency. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev made this statement in the press conference after meeting with his Swiss counterpart Michelin Kalmi-Rey.

â€œToday we have also discussed our cooperation within the international organizations. For development economic relations we have strong mutual interests in this sphere. The good outcomes are obvious. We welcome the capitals invested from Switzerland into Azerbaijan’s economy, especially in the energy sector. I hope, in the coming years weâ€™ll see many cases like thisâ€.

Azerbaijan supports the â€œSouthern Corridorâ€ as well as all this corridor-related projects, including Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP), where Switzerland participates. I think, this project has very good future. The companies conduct negotiations on this distinctive issueâ€, - Ilham Aliyev said.

â€œI must note that Switzerland is very interested in TAP project. Swiss company IGEL is the one of the main participants of this project. I believe, TAP project will be realized for common interests of Azerbaijan and Switzerlandâ€, - Swiss President said.
