Yevda Abramov meets with US Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. Deputy chairman of Azerbaijani parliament’s committee on human rights Yevda Abramov met with the delegation led by US Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism Hannah Rosenthal, the parliament’s press service told APA.

Noting that there have never been signs of Anti-Semitism in Azerbaijan, parliamentarian said there are mosques, churches and synagogues in Azerbaijan. On the initiative of the head of state a new synagogue has been built for more than 20,000 mountain jews in the center of the capital.

Hannah Rosenthal underlined that they see Azerbaijan as a model of tolerance, they want to study and promote this practice.

US Special Representative to the Muslim Community Farah Pandith noted that their mission is to eliminate the unpleasant attitude towards the Muslim communities in the world.

They also touched on Armenia’s aggression. The guests were told that all mosques, cemeteries in the occupied Azerbaijani territories were destroyed.
