Azerbaijani student unmasks leader of Nagorno Karabakh separatists at conference held in France

Conference on â€œ17 years later the ceasefire agreement in 1994 and what has Nagorno Karabakh Republic achieved?â€ was held at the French Institute of International Relations, APAâ€™s European bureau reports. The participants of the conference organized by IFRIâ€™s executive director Dominique de David were mainly Armenians living in France and journalists. Invitation of the president of so-called â€œNagorno Karabakh Republicâ€ Bako Saakyan to this conference as a main guest and majority of Armenians in the conference confirmed that the event was directed to propaganda of Armenians. But two diplomats of Azerbaijani embassy in France and Azerbaijani students studying in this country participated in the conference as well. Making speech at the conference Azerbaijani student studying at Master 2 in Diplomacy and Strategic Negotiation at UniversitÃ© Paris Mahammad Muradov told APAâ€™s European bureau that president of so-called â€œNagorno Karabakh Republicâ€ Bako Saakyan spoke about the history of establishment of â€œArtsakh stateâ€ and regulation process of the conflict between Azerbaijan and â€œArtsakhâ€ and he made demands on independence of â€œArtsakhâ€: â€œThough concrete questions were addressed him related to the conflict, Saakyan either did not respond those questions or avoid the questions. For example, French â€œLa Croixâ€ newspaperâ€™s journalistâ€™s question â€œHave not you replaced the occupation of Azerbaijani lands with the term of self-determination?â€, Saakyan avoided the question by saying â€œsuch agreement is not rightâ€.

According to words of Mahammad Muradov, thereafter, he put a question to Bako Saakyan: â€œI put such question to Saakyan â€“ â€œAs a president of so-called Nagorno Karabakh Republic, you claim NKR is a separate independent state and it does not have ties with the Republic of Armenia from the viewpoint of sovereignty. But I would like to cite one incident as an example to you from the Armeniaâ€™s modern history. The second Armenian president Robert Kocharyan was the president of Nagorno Karabakh Republic during 1994-1997. Thereupon, in 1997-98, he was appointed as Prime Minister of Armenia by the president Levon Ter-Petrosyan. And then he was the second president of Armenia. There is not such person in the history of humanity who was the president of two different independent states. And if you claim that your â€œrepublicâ€ is independent and it does not have ties with the Armenian Republic, then why the citizen of Nagorno Karabakh Republic, president Robert Kocharyan became the president of Armenia? This event proves that you (NKR) consider the Republic of Armenia as your homeland or central government. It puts at risk your independence or Armenian Republics considers you as its own region. If it is so, then Armenia occupied the lands of Azerbaijani state and Azerbaijanâ€™s efforts to liberate its territories are its legitimate rights. And I have such question: â€œDo you want to run for presidency in the next presidential elections in Armenia or, what do you think, was it the mistake of Armenian policy?â€. But Saakyan avoided this question and content oneself with noting moral ties between Armenia and NKR. Saakyan completely confused after the questions of representatives of Azerbaijani embassy in Franceâ€.

Muradov said that Armenian media elucidated this conference on their webpages, but all these moments have not been placed in Armenian mass media: â€œThey presented the points in the conference report coverage at their optionâ€.
