Having familiarized himself with the facility, the head of state met with the foreign specialists. Ilham Aliyev watched a film featuring the products manufactured at the plant. The dummy unmanned aircraft was presented to the head of state. Giving information to President about the facility, Minister of Defense Industry Yaver Jamalov said large-scale construction and reconstruction were carried out in â€œShargâ€ Production Unit, which also comprises â€œAZAD Systems Coâ€ plant. Five production areas were built, new technological equipment was installed in the facility.

The head of state was told that modern remote control unmanned flying vehicles are produced at the plant. Unmanned flying vehicles have a number of technical, economic advantages, lack of crew in the flying vehicles, little expenses, technical maneuvers and others. Having familiarized himself with the working procedure in the area of composite materials, President Ilham Aliyev was told that all conditions are created at the facility that produces orbiter 2M and Aerostar aircrafts. The parts of the unmanned aircrafts are also made in this facility. Special moulds are used for this. President Ilham Aliyev signed the wing of the unmanned aircraft presented to the museum of the Ministry of Defense Industry. The head of state visited the workshop for assembling engines. President was informed about the technical characteristics of the unmanned aircrafts produced at the plant. Orbiter 2M is capable of flying at the 4-6km height for 4-5 hours. Aerostar aircrafts are capable of flying at 10km height for 12 hours.
Ilham Aliyev was informed about the parts of the unmanned aircrafts and overground control station of orbiter 2M. The head of state was told that the center checks the quality of the ready product, tests it.
Following this, DIAMOND-42 four-seat passenger aircraft, which is planned to be produced in Azerbaijan, was presented. President Ilham Aliyev was satisfied with the conditions created at the facility and wished success to the staff.
