Azerbaijani students commemorated Khojaly tragedy silence lying on the ground on Taksim Square in Istanbul

Azerbaijani students studying in Turkey assembled at Istanbulâ€™s Taksim Square.

The protesters wore masks on their faces with a picture of the children killed in Khojaly by Armenians and at the beginning of Noon Azan lied on the ground.

At the end of Azan, they stood up from the ground.

Speaking at a rally on behalf of the students, leader of the Azerbaijani Unity Nurlan Kerimov told about the history of Khojaly genocide. He noted that the purpose of this campaign is to attract world attention to the massacre committed by Armenians into the Khojaly town of Azerbaijan.

"Why they who displays courage to deal with events 87 years ago donâ€™t see the atrocities committed by Armenians in the recent past in Nagorno Karabakh of Azerbaijan", - he said.

Note that today in Ankara, Embassy of Azerbaijan and the municipality Kechioren, commemorated the monument Khojaly Khojaly genocide.

Turkish Youth Association and Azerbaijan Association of New York held protest action near the Armenian diplomatic mission in New York commemorating the 19th anniversary of the Khojaly massacre.

Monument of Khojaly tragedy also commemorated in Germany. Turkish and Azerbaijani Organization held a joint commemorative ceremony dedicated to the 19th anniversary of Khojaly genocide in the Turkish House in Berlin. Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Germany Parviz Shahbazov and Consul General of Turkey in Berlin, Mustafa Polat attended at the ceremony.

Memory of the victims of Khojaly genocide was also commemorated in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
