Khojaly tragedy commemorated in Morocco

Baku-APA. Azerbaijani Embassy in Morocco together with the Morocco-Azerbaijan Friendship Society held ceremony dedicated to the 19-th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide, in palace of culture â€œAgdalâ€ in Rabat, APA reports quoting press-service of Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Representatives of the Government of Morocco, Morocco-Azerbaijan Friendship Society, diplomatic missions of ISESCO accredited in Morocco, the media, the delegation headed by Chairman of the Azerbaijani State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing People Shahin Sayilov attended at commemorative ceremony dedicated to Khojaly tragedy.

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Morocco, S. Agabekov informed the guests about the history of this tragedy and the problems that faced Azerbaijan on the path to independence.

Counselor of the Embassy I.Aliyev spoke about the severe consequences of the Armenian aggression against Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani policy aimed at a just settlement to this conflict.

In the lobby of the Palace of Culture has organized a photo exhibition about the Khojaly genocide and was demonstrated documentary on "Armenian terrorism".
