Baku-APA. Azerbaijani Embassy in Belarus held a number of events dedicated to the memory of the victims of the genocide committed by Armenians in the Azerbaijani town of Khojaly. In cities and regions, including various universities of Belarus have organized seminars, photo exhibitions, demonstrated a documentary, and distributed information materials on Khojaly tragedy, APA reports.

Speaking at the ceremony Ambassador Ali Nagiyev detail informed the guests about the realities of the Armenian aggression and its consequences. He also mentioned that Armenia does not fulfill UN Security Council resolutions, the Council of Europe and the OIC, related to the conflict.

Azerbaijani Embassy in Belarus and the Public TV of Azerbaijan held a teleconference on Khojaly tragedy. The event attended by representatives of Azerbaijani Embassy in Belarus, representatives of the local Diaspora and Azerbaijani students studying in universities of the Republic of Belarus.

On 25 February 2011 in the center of the Azerbaijani language and culture at the Belarusian State University named after Maxim Tank held seminar on "The Problem of territorial claims in the modern world and the consequences of Khojaly tragedy." At the beginning of the seminar demonstrated the scene, dedicated to the Khojaly tragedy prepared by Belarusian students with the support of the embassy and head of the center of the Azerbaijani language and culture Rafiq Novruzov.

Opening the official part of the seminar, Ambassador Ali Nagiyev in his speech noted on conflicts in world and their consequences, the death of innocent people on the background of these conflicts. He also noted about aggressive policy of Armenians against the Azerbaijani people continuing centuries and he noted that Khojaly genocide is one of them.

At the seminar also, dean of the Belarusian and Russian Philology Faculty and History Faculty of Belarusian State University named after Maxim Tank Prof. Starichenko and N. Zabavskiy made speech. Then professor of the Baku Slavic University, head of the center of the Azerbaijani language and culture R. Novruzov, a representative of the Azerbaijani Diaspora and Azerbaijani students studying in universities of Belarus made speech.

During events organized by the Embassy was also distributed information about the campaign "Justice for Khojaly. Held an official presentation of the site, students wearing T-shirts written “Justice for Khojaly” distributed information booklets relating to the tragedy.
