In Baku held opening ceremony of Hungarian embassy building

Deputy Foreign Minister of Hungary Zsolt Nemeth, vice president of the European Parliament Laszlo Tokes, Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov, representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Azerbaijan attended at the opening ceremony of the Embassy building.

Speaking at the ceremony Nemeth Zsolt said that Hungary attaches great importance to enhancing cooperation with Azerbaijan.

"This year, within Hungaryâ€™s European Union presidency we intend to make our contribution to the strengthening of relations between Azerbaijan and the EU", - he said.

Zsolt said that Azerbaijan is reliable economic partner of the EU and he expressed his confidence that Azerbaijan will take its rightful place in the European community.

Hungarian Deputy FM noted that he arrived in Azerbaijan together with the Hungarian government delegation, which included businessmen.

Mutual cooperation between Azerbaijan and the EU will receive a new impetus to development. In the above privacy concerns is to facilitate the visa regime for citizens of Azerbaijan to visit EU countries, Deputy FM of Hungary Nemeth Zsolt emphasized.

In his turn Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov said that the history of Azerbaijan-Hungarian relations have long years history. This allows us to reach a new level of relations between our countries.
He stressed that the EU and the leading states of this organization supports the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and the Governmentâ€™s efforts for a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh problem.
Khalafov emphasized that Azerbaijan attaches great importance priority strategic projects with the EU.
