Franceâ€™s Foreign Ministry: Nagorno-Karabakh - occupied territory in the heart of Azerbaijan

The document notes that "a majority of Nagorno-Karabakh population is Armenians but itâ€™s located in the heart of Azerbaijan" and about 20 per cents of Azerbaijani territory are under occupation.

Azerbaijani regions being contiguous with Armenia are also designated as occupied. Nagorno Karabakh-related issue is designated as Azerbaijanâ€™s domestic one, and unresolved in the region conflict is indicated as the conflict with Armenia.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs doesnâ€™t recommend its citizens to travel to Nagorno-Karabakh and seven adjacent regions, calling them occupied territories, and warns of the impossibility of entering into Azerbaijan, if the passport has so-called â€œvisaâ€ (the quotes - in the original), issued by the actual (! - not elected) authorities of Nagorno-Karabakh.
