Speaker Ogtay Asadov receives European Parliamentâ€™s members

Baku, Ramil Mammadli â€“ APA. Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Ogtay Asadov received members of the European Parliament Ivo Vajgl and Pino Arlacchi, the Parliamentâ€™s press service told APA. The speaker welcomed the guests and expressed his satisfaction to see them in the Parliament. It was noted at the meeting Azerbaijan shows great interest in broadening of relations between Azerbaijan and the European Union and its structures. The speaker noted that the integration to the Euro-Atlantic space is one of the issues which President Ilham Aliyev pays great attention.

The speaker of the Parliament positively assessed the European Parliamentâ€™s interest in the processes in the region and expressed his thanks on the declaration on Nagorno Karabakh conflict adopted in the organization.
The speaker expressed his hope that the European Union and European parliament will approach this question from the objective position.

They expressed their view on the issues interested by them. Chairman of the Parliament’s Committee for Legal Policy and State-building Ali Huseynli, Deputy Elkhan Suleymanli and the other officials attended the meeting
