Mahammadbagir Bahrami: â€œMahmoud Ahmadinejad invited President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Iranâ€

The ambassador said all people have a right to produce nuclear technology for peaceful purposes. â€œOur slogan is that: â€œPeaceful nuclear energy for all of us, but weapons of mass destruction, atomic weapons for no oneâ€. Some countries not participating in the International Atomic Energy Agency have nuclear weapons. Israel has 250 nuclear warheads. Our activity is under the IAEAâ€™s control. Istanbul meeting was successful for Iran and we are ready to develop these discussions. We donâ€™t hide anything. Everything is transparent in our countryâ€, said the ambassador.

Bahrami said Iran supported all projects being in favor of the region. â€œWe are ready to support all initiatives forwarded for the development of the region, including Nabucco and other projects. It was proved by the security agreements signed in the Caspian littoral statesâ€™ summit as a result of efforts and insistence of President Ilham Aliyev and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejadâ€.

The ambassador President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad sent official invitations to the leaders of the countries, where Novruz Holiday is celebrated, to attend the Novruz festivities in Iran. â€œPresident of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev was also invited. I hope the President of Azerbaijan will attend this eventâ€.

The ambassador also reacted to the Iranian Sahar TVâ€™s anti-Azerbaijan programs: â€œOur goal is to unite the people, but not separate them. We are working for the strengthening of relations between the people and the countriesâ€.
