Director of Polish Diplomatic Academy: â€œPoland sees Azerbaijan as an integral part of Europeâ€

Baku â€“ APA. Director of the European Academy of Diplomacy of the Republic of Poland Ms Katarzyna Pisarska, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan, visited the Strategic Research Center (SRC) on February 3. Ms Pisarska spoke about the activity of the European Academy of Diplomacy she heads and said one of the main purposes of her visit is to establish relations with the think tanks of Azerbaijan and to discuss the prospects of the cooperation, SRC sources told APA.

Speaking about the bilateral relations between Poland and Azerbaijan, the guest said Warsaw saw Azerbaijan as an integral part of Europe and the development of relations with the South Caucasus, particularly with Azerbaijan within the framework of the Eastern Partnership program would be a priority for Poland during its presidency in the European Union in July, 2011.

The guest became familiarized with the SRC activity and she was informed in details about the economic development of Azerbaijan, the process of democracy building, as well as Azerbaijanâ€™s position on the settlement of Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

Wide range of regional and international problems and the issues of mutual interests were also on agenda during the meeting.
