The co-rapporteurs held separate meetings with chairman of Azerbaijan Democratic Party (ADP) Sardar Jalaloglu, chairman of Citizen and Development Party Ali Aliyev and chairman of Party of Hope Igbal Agazadeh.
Socio-political situation in Azerbaijan, the country’s role in the region, the recent developments in the Near East and other Muslim countries were discussed during the meetings. They also exchanged views on the parliamentary elections held in Azerbaijan in 2010, post-election situation and political processes in the country.
The PACE Monitoring Committee co-rapporteurs for Azerbaijan Pedro Agramunt Font de Mora and Joseph Debono Grech arrived in Baku yesterday. The visit will last till February 3. The co-rapporteurs will hold a number of meetings.
